Safety

At Prosper Petroleum Ltd. (Prosper), safety is an integral part of our operations, intended to protect our employees, contractors, the public, property, and the environment.

The goal of Prosper’s Safety Program is to have an accident free workplace. We will achieve this by ensuring that all applicable legislation is incorporated into our Safety Program and that employee, contractors, and all others on Prosper worksites consistently comply with the company’s overall safety initiatives identified within the Prosper Safety Manual.

Managers and supervisors are responsible for identifying safety needs, communicating safety hazards, investigating hazardous conditions and accidents, providing training, ensuring appropriate safety and personal protective equipment is worn, and ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and meets legislated safety standards. This is supported by input from all employees and contractors.

Employees, contractors, and others on Prosper worksites are responsible for maintaining the Safety Program by obeying all safety rules, following recommended safe work procedures, wearing and using personal protective equipment when required, participating in safety training programs, and informing supervisors of any unsafe work conditions. Everyone has the right and responsibility to refuse work when unsafe conditions exist. All workers are responsible for working in a manner that will safeguard them, giving equal concern to co-workers, contractors, and the public.

By fulfilling our safety responsibilities, everyone who works for our company will share the benefits of a safe workplace.
